Half-million books

This past week our 11th container shipped from Seattle bound for Yangon.  Thrift Books has fulfilled half of its million books pledge! May 3rd marked the third anniversary of Cyclone Nargis’ devastating pass across the Irrawaddy delta and Yangon. Family friends of a half-century were affected by this catastrophy, including U Thaw Kaung’s family who stepped forward to help libraries recover.
