Never Give Up

I really appreciate your effort. We will never give up. I’m attaching a poem by the most famous poet of Myanmar, Saya Zaw Kyi. He was the predecessor of my father at Universities Central Library. These attached is one of his famous in a poem series called “Pedar Lun”. Read it and we will be like Pedar. So, we won’t give up.

Second container shipped from Seattle April 10

Our truck is filled with 40 gaylord boxes, which shipped out in this 40 foot container from Seattle April 10, to tranship through Singapore and arrive in Yangon mid-May. We had hoped to load 44 boxes, or 55,000 books, but the container was filled at 40 boxes, or 50,000. We still met our goal of 10 cents per book.

Think of an aircraft carrier, or a 747 hanger, or maybe the Seattle Convention Center: enormous, huge, very, very big! Thrift Books has rented four cavernous, hollow structures like this.
